March 1-5: La Paulée de San Francisco
The yearly celebration of Burgundy in the United States is set for the beginning of March in San Francisco. We are proud to have so many of our favorite growers participating; Jean-Luc Pépin of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is featured in the Legends Dinner and is also leading a Masterclass tasting of his 2013 vintage. Friday’s Rare Wine Dinner will have Frédéric Mugnier presenting his 2006 Fuées, Amoureuses and Musigny as well as Fuées 1998, Amoureuses 1993, and Musigny Vieilles Vignes 1986.
At the Verticals Tasting, keep an eye out for wines from: Camille Giroud, Comtes Lafon, Hubert Lamy, Benjamin Leroux, François Mikulski, Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, Nicolas Rossignol, and Comte Georges de Vogüé. These producers will also be included in the Grand Tasting, and are joined by another member of our portfolio: Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon.
Some of our vignerons will be traveling out west for the event, not just Jean-Luc Pépin and Frédéric Mugnier, but also David Croix, Dominique Lafon, Olivier Lamy, Benjamin Leroux, and Nicolas Rossignol.
Lastly, don’t forget to taste the food of one of our favorite spots in Beaune, Maison des Colombiers, at the Grand Tasting!
All in all, definitely cause for a boisterous ban bourguignon!
