May 17-21: Nantucket Wine Festival

The yearly celebration of wine and cuisine on the island comes back for round 22! Events will be spread out over 5 days, from the welcome reception on Wednesday, to the Grand Tasting on Sunday.

Though the line-up of exciting events on offer is quite extensive, we’re most excited about Eric Asimov’s Exploring Burgundy’s Aligoté seminar on Friday. After spending some time recently in the region visiting with vignerons and tasting, he’s explored the potential of a grape variety that, though one of the oldest and most native to Burgundy, has been painted with the broad brush of mediocrity. We’re excited that someone is challenging that stereotype and sharing his discoveries with the rest of us! To top it off, the aligoté cuvées from two of our classic domaines, Michel Lafarge and Pierre Morey, will be poured.
