Additional Info

The "18 Lunes" on the label is a reference to the 18 months (18 moons) that the wine spends aging in barrel.

"Chagnots," the name of this parcel, comes from the gaulois word "cassano," meaning small oak. The parcel is located below the Champs-Perdrix, on a steeper slope. The vineyard density is 9,000 vines per hectare and the rootstock used is 41B. Yields are limited by short pruning and elimination of buds in the spring, green harvest when absolutely necessary. The soil is plowed 2-5 times each year, depending on the vintage.
