- Terroir: From Badenweiler Römerberg, 20 km south of Ölberg, cool site at the edge of the Black Forest, 400m elevation, south-facing, 45-degree slope, thin clay soil over Jurassic limestone and calcareous marl.
- Viticulture: Biodynamic (not certified)
- Vinification: Approx. 70% whole cluster, 2-3-week fermentation in tank, minimal extraction, 1 foot punch-down before pressing, aged for 18 months in used Burgundian barrels, no fining, no filtration, minimal SO2 addition before bottling (5-10 ppm).
