Additional Info
Steep, on a light and easily-eroded soil, everyone agrees that Tessons is one of the best village level vineyards in Meursault. Lavalle, in 1855, placed it in his ‘Premieres Cuvee’ along with Genevrières Dessus, Charmes Dessus, Bouchères and Gouttes d’Or. According to the Moreys, if it wasn’t included in the AOC in 1935, it is only because most of it lay fallow after phylloxera. The majority of Tessons was was only replanted in the 1950s.
