Decanter awards Dominique Gruhier 94 points
An under-appreciated region and a passionate producer receive a bump in the November 2018 issue of Decanter. Tim Atkin MW awarded Dominique Gruhier’s Bourgogne Epineuil 2015 94 points; he’s tied for first place for Decanter’s Best Buy Red Burgundy.
Their tasting notes:
“Fresh, spicy, savoury with some oak, showing sweet cranberry and raspberry flavours and the restraint and cool elegance of northern Burgundy. Complex and well balanced, with fine tannins, tangy acidity and lovely nuance. A Pinot that refreshes and caresses the palate at the same time.”
